April joined Axiom Consultants in 2021 as part of the Building Services Team.  Ms. Vande Brake brings additional structural engineering focus to the group with additional experience in geotechnical and bridge construction fieldwork.  Her BSE from ​the University of Iowa focused on Structures, Mechanics, and Materials and she also served as a teaching assistant and tutor in Statics.

April's passion for engineering, attention to detail, and diligent approach to her work will be critical to the overall success of our structural design team.

April will focus on Structural Engineering and Building Design including structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, masonry, engineered lumber, and light-gauge steel design.  She will work closely with our geotechnical partners and assist with fieldwork, forensic and assessment walkdowns, specialty reports, and construction management.
