NICK BETTIS

Nick joined Axiom Consultants in 2018 shortly after its foundation .  Nick worked in both the public and private sectors for nearly 18 years prior to joining the Axiom team.  His expertise spans primarily between public and private Civil Infrastructure offerings but his current focus is on private development efforts.  Nick maintains a strong background in civil design for all manner of private redevelopment and new development offerings and his knowledge of this work in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids-Cedar Falls corridor is outstanding.  Nick participates actively in many of the projects Axiom works on serving as a project manager, design lead, and owner's representative.

Nick is immensely likable and capable.  His quick command of a situation and understanding of local codes and design processes is refreshing for any civil effort.  He can quickly digest all manner of civil tasks early in a process - such as complex grading and stormwater issues - and leverage that knowledge into eventual detailed design efforts with our Civil group.  When a project enters construction he works effectively and quickly with the general and sub-contractors to answer questions and provide solutions.
