April Vande Brake

April joined Axiom Consultants in 2021 as part of the Building Services Team. Ms. Vande Brake brings additional structural engineering focus to the group with additional experience in geotechnical and bridge construction fieldwork. Her BSE from ​the University of Iowa focused on Structures, Mechanics, and Materials and she also served as a teaching assistant and tutor in Statics.

​April focuses on Structural Engineering and Building Design including structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, masonry, engineered lumber, and light-gauge steel design. She works closely with our geotechnical partners and assists with fieldwork, forensic and assessment walkdowns, specialty reports, and construction management.
